Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
Identify thought patterns and behaviours that keep you stuck, then build practical ways to respond differently.
A bit about who I am, how I work, and what you can expect.

I’m Peter Fray, a registered psychotherapist based in Toronto. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety that won’t quiet down, relationships that feel stuck, grief that hasn’t found a place to land, or the disorientation that comes with a major life change.
I don’t believe therapy has to follow a rigid script. Some sessions are structured and goal-oriented. Others are slower, more exploratory. What stays consistent is my commitment to showing up honestly, paying close attention, and working at a pace that actually serves you.
My practice is explicitly affirming of LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. I bring an anti-oppressive lens to the work, paying attention to how systems of power—not only personal history—shape what people carry into the room.
Practical when that helps. Exploratory when it needs to be. Always collaborative.
Identify thought patterns and behaviours that keep you stuck, then build practical ways to respond differently.
Build skills for intense emotions, distress, and relationships while balancing acceptance with change.
Look at how past experiences and less-visible patterns continue to shape the present.
Welcoming people of all gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds is central to the work.
Racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other forms of systemic oppression have real effects on mental health.
You know your life better than I do. I bring clinical skill, honest feedback, and curiosity; we decide together what therapy looks like.
I’m warm, and I’ll also name what I notice. Therapy works best when honesty has room to be useful.
